Our 7th, 8th and 9th grade students enter into a three year study of Lutheran Theology as they prepare to become full members of the congregation. the class focuses upon gaining an appreciation and understanding of Martin Luther's Small Catechism and the Confessions of the Church.
Our 9th through 12th graders gather for biblically based discussion. Through study of scripture and discussion of the pressures and stresses of teen-age life, our High School students are given the tools necessary to face the everyday challenges of the high school years.
This class helps to reacquaint adults with the lessons they learned as youths and teaches how to more carefully study and interpret biblical passages. Regular class studies emphasize one book of the Bible, its background, and role in the overall context of the Scriptures.
Adults in this class are focusing their study of the Bible upon Seasons of the Spirit, which is based upon the common lexionary. Therefore, the lessons track the readings that are heard during the church service. Students are learning the Word, tools for living the Faith and ways to respond to the call of the Holy Spirit and be of service in God's world.
This where you will find most of our young married couples who are gaining insights into married life and child rearing. The class has an informal approach which capitalizes upon current events and trends. Recent studies have included a series of top ten lists for living within God's grace.
Many of our senior citizens participate in this class, although it is not age restricted. The focus of this class is the Augsburg Bible Study which examines the lessons prepared by the publishing arm of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
